Five of the biggest names in prop trading. All flagged with the same warning. All hidden behind the same label. No scores. No rating bars. Just "breach of guidelines" where a reputation used to be.
We did not expect to find a pattern this consistent. We checked five prop firms and one regulated broker across TrustPilot and PropFirmMatch. The regulated broker was fine. Every single prop firm had been wiped.
We covered the mechanics behind TrustPilot's removals in our previous article on why TrustPilot keeps removing verified prop firm reviews. That post explains how the moderation algorithm catches legitimate positive reviews. This one shows the real-world damage when you compare two platforms side by side.
We checked five prop firms and one regulated broker on both platforms this week. All data was verified directly from live pages. Here is what we found.
Blueberry Markets (regulated broker).
TrustPilot: 4.5 out of 5 across 3,244 reviews. Profile claimed since 2018. Fully visible. PropFirmMatch: not applicable since Blueberry Markets is a broker, not a prop firm. Both platforms agree where they overlap. This is our control group.
Blueberry Funded (prop firm).
TrustPilot: warning. Rating hidden. 1,599 reviews behind a "breach of guidelines" label. PropFirmMatch: listed and rated. Holds a 4.13 out of 5 across 597 reviews. The firm that TrustPilot says has no valid rating is a 4.13-rated prop firm on the industry's primary comparison platform.
Instant Funding.
TrustPilot: warning. "Rating unavailable due to breach of guidelines." 4,694 reviews hidden. PropFirmMatch: listed and rated. Holds a 3.89 out of 5 across 357 reviews. Nearly five thousand reviews on one platform with no visible score at all.
Funding Traders.
TrustPilot: warning. Rating hidden. 3,306 reviews. PropFirmMatch: delisted. The firm has been removed from PropFirmMatch's directory entirely. This firm is the one case where both platforms agree something is wrong, though for completely different reasons.
Goat Funded Trader.
TrustPilot: warning. Rating hidden. 4,164 reviews. PropFirmMatch: listed and rated. Holds a 4.28 out of 5 across 986 reviews. The highest rated of the rated firms on PropFirmMatch, invisible on TrustPilot.
SFX Funded.
TrustPilot: warning. Rating hidden. 152 reviews visible out of thousands that existed before the algorithm began removing them. We previously held a 4.7 TrustPilot rating. PropFirmMatch: not listed. SFX does not appear on PropFirmMatch at all.
Let me be direct: SFX Funded is not on PropFirmMatch. I am writing this from the CEO's perspective of a firm that has been flagged by TrustPilot and has no presence on the industry's leading comparison site. If I were trying to paint a self-serving picture, I would skip that part. But that is exactly the point. This is not about any single firm looking good or bad. It is about the fact that two major platforms cannot seem to agree on whether half these companies are legitimate businesses or scam operations.
PropFirmMatch and TrustPilot are not the same kind of platform. PropFirmMatch is a comparison directory. TrustPilot is a review site. That distinction matters. But here is what matters more: PropFirmMatch's own data model includes a field called trustPilotScore. They track TrustPilot ratings for every firm they list.
When we checked, that field was null for every single prop firm on the platform. Not slightly lower than expected. Not a different number. Literally null. The API can return a PMF rating of 4.28 for Goat Funded Trader, 4.13 for Blueberry Funded, 3.89 for Instant Funding, all backed by hundreds of verified PMF reviews. But the TrustPilot score field is empty. Not because PropFirmMatch chose not to show it. Because TrustPilot made it impossible to pull.
The comparison site that exists to help traders compare prop firms cannot display TrustPilot ratings for any of the firms we checked. Not one.
Here is the dynamic that creates this gap.
A trader buys an evaluation. They skip the terms. They over-leverage on a Friday, violate the drawdown rule in the final hour, and blow the account. They are furious. Within 20 minutes they post a one-star review calling the firm a scam. Their TrustPilot account looks active. The review goes up instantly. It stays.
Another trader buys the same evaluation. They read the rules. They trade within drawdown limits. They pass, get funded, withdraw profits three times, and scale their account. Months later they remember to leave a review. Five stars, thoughtful breakdown. TrustPilot checks their account activity. Last login: six months ago. Suspicious. Flagged. Removed.
Which review do future traders see?
This is not hypothetical. Scroll any prop firm's TrustPilot page. You will find one-star reviews that explicitly describe behaviour that violates the firm's published terms. "They denied my payout because I traded during news." Yes. That is in the rules. "They breached my account for exceeding daily drawdown." That is the drawdown limit you accepted when you bought the evaluation. These reviews stay because the reviewer acted fast while angry. Their account looks legitimate to the algorithm.
Meanwhile, the funded trader who withdrew five figures and left a detailed positive review? Their feedback is flagged as potentially fraudulent. The only thing they did wrong was be busy trading instead of logging into a review platform.
The pattern is not complicated. Traders who blow accounts through rule violations rage-quit and post immediately. Their reviews survive. Traders who pass evaluations and quietly collect payouts delay their feedback. Their reviews get removed. Repeat that across thousands of traders over years, and the scores drift downward through no fault of the firms themselves.
At SFX Funded, we watched this play out. Before TrustPilot flagged our profile, we held a 4.7 rating across thousands of verified reviews. Those positive reviews from traders who passed evaluations and withdrew profits were systematically removed. The negative reviews from rule-breakers who raged stayed visible.
And it is not just us. Instant Funding, Blueberry Funded, Goat Funded Trader - all five prop firms we checked have been hit by the same warning label, regardless of how well they perform on other platforms. The industry is collectively misrepresented by a moderation system that was not calibrated for how prop trading customers behave.
If I were picking a prop firm today, here is what I would do.
Cross-reference at least three sources. Check TrustPilot. Check PropFirmMatch. Check Reddit and Discord communities. If a firm looks consistent everywhere, that is a signal. If it looks like a 4.3 on one platform and invisible on another, that also tells you something, but the problem might not be the firm.
Read the actual reviews, not the number. A score hides more than it reveals. Look for repeating complaints: payout denials, hidden rules, support delays. If the same issue appears across dozens of reviews, it is probably real.
Demand payout proof. Any prop firm that actually funds traders will publish payout records, withdrawal statistics, and real testimonials with dates and amounts. If they hide this information, ask yourself why.
Read the terms yourself. Not summaries. Not YouTube reviews. The actual terms and conditions. Look for the rules around drawdown, consistency requirements, and payout windows. The fine print is where unpleasant surprises live.
Check if they publish reviews they cannot control. A firm that builds its own review platform where every comment stays visible, including the critical ones, is telling you something. It is not proof they are perfect. But it is proof they are not afraid of what their traders might say.

If TrustPilot were the only source a trader checked, they would conclude that the prop trading industry is a minefield of untrustworthy firms. If PropFirmMatch were the only source, they would see a mix of strong ratings and some delistings, with one firm absent. Neither platform tells the complete story on its own.
Review platforms are useful tools, not objective truth. If you outsource your judgment to any single score, you are letting an algorithm that was not built for this industry decide where you trade. Check the reviews. Check the community. Check the payout proof. Read the terms yourself. The more sources you use, the closer you get to reality.
